Who We Are...
Personality Productions, Inc. is the agency that has booked The Platters a.k.a.
the Buck Ram Platters
for 50 years - from their first job through the present.

Personality was incorporated in California in 1954, to represent
The Platters
and other groups Buck Ram and Jean Bennett managed.  The offices moved to
New York, then Chicago and finally to Las Vegas where it was re-incorporated
as a Nevada corporation in 1965.  Jean Bennett bought Ram's interest in the
company in 1965, and is sole owner of Personality.
The Five Platters, Inc.
The Five Platters, Inc. was incorporated in California in 1956.  The corporation
was set up by Buck Ram to protect the singers  and make sure that they had
control over their careers.  Unlike other groups of the 50's each member of the
group held 20% of the corporate stock and received an equal salary from the
corporation.

Licenses
The Bennetts
Ram and Bennett spent almost $5,000,000 in legal fees attempting to stop The Great Pretenders.  Although, they won all
cases except one, they could not stop bogus groups.  The Five Platters, Inc. now licenses several groups including
The
World Famous Platters
in Branson.  Herb Reed, original bass singer was given a license in 1987, and Monroe Powell and
Bennett, after several go-rounds in court, agreed not to disagree in November 2002, based on their 25 years working
relationship.  But even licensing does not stop those who have no relationship to
The Platters, Ram or Bennett from
making a living from Ram's incredible music.
Our Mission: Protecting the Past. Celebrating the Present. Commanding the
Future.  Preserving the music - one generation at a time.
